Three years ago yesterday, two of my very dearest friends from college lost their father Steve to Lung Cancer. During his last months and weeks, Candice and Cicelee took turns with his wife Ginny caring for him. Throughout those weeks, they were faced with the unexpected challenge of keeping him hydrated. He was at times too weak to reach for the glass of water on the night stand, so the gals took turns sitting next to him, offering small sips of water when he needed them. While I know they were willing to help and cherished the time they had with him, he became frustrated by his own lack of independence, even for such a simple task as taking a sip of water. They searched without success for a hydration solution that would allow Steve to drink independently and the MakH2OPak was inspired.

This morning I have just made my first round of introductory calls, so today feels like a great day to share news with my family and friends that I will be working part time for their company, MakInnovations to introduce my community to the revolution in patient hydration, the MakH2OPak. This is a product that will enhance the lives of patients around the world, it will give them independence and a stronger sense of dignity during a time when they need it most. This is a product that will allow Nurses and Care Givers to provide better care to their patients and loved ones. It has become Steve's legacy, and I'm excited and honored to be part of this full circle moment for his daughters.

So stay tuned friends, the MakH2OPak is coming soon to a patient room near you.
That is fantastic news! So glad you are able to work for a company that is so meaningful to you and to many others, I'm sure.
